- To help people to learn about the diagnosis of diabetes.
- To help others become informed of ways to prevent diabetes.
- To help diabetics become informed of the treatments for Type I and Type II diabetes.
- To help diabetics and their families learn ways to control their diabetes.
- To help diabetics and their families learn about possible complications of diabetes and ways to prevent these complications.
- To help members learn to work with health care professionals.
- To make the public aware of the seriousness and prevalence of diabetes in this country.
- To provide these services at little or no cost to members.
